Amenity space standards require a general illuminance of 200 lux. Additionally, high colour rendering is a reliable way to make clothing colours easily discernible. Luminaires with an adequately high IP rating are a must in the restrooms and showers.
Due to their specific and time-limited use, sports changing facilities should be equipped with presence detectors that switch the lights on and off as needed. This unlocks ample energy savings potential, as locker rooms are often empty, except prior to and after sports events or training sessions.
