Science Based Target

We have submitted our Science Based Targets for approval. These targets are a critical part of our strategy to reduce our carbon footprint and play a role in combating climate change.

"Setting Science Based Targets is a milestone for Glamox, after years of dedicated work to map and reduce our GHG emissions. These targets provide a clear roadmap for our sustainability efforts, aligning us with the latest climate science and global climate goals," says Viktor Söderberg, Head of Sustainability at Glamox.

This marks just one of the many steps we're taking to make a positive impact in line with our Green Light Strategic Aspirations. It's a testament to our unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.

The submission of the targets is the result of a hardworking team and dedicated partners who have supported us throughout this endeavor. Our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future is ongoing, and we can't wait to share the progress with you.

The Science Based Targets initiative (sBTi) is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net zero before 2050.

The initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments. The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting, offers resources and guidance to reduce barriers to adoption, and independently asseses and approves companies’s targets.
